Starting My Journey to Mindfulness
Hi, I’m Sohan Akolkar. Have you ever had a life-changing moment? I had one when I faced a big road accident. It wasn’t just the physical pain that I had to deal with, but the emotional and mental turmoil too. Plus, the pressure to get back to work and life didn’t help. But then, a doctor gave me a game-changing advice: focus on real healing with mindfulness and mental health.
Stepping into Mindfulness
That’s when I discovered mindfulness and meditation. At first, it was simple things. Breathing exercises to calm down. Guided meditation sessions to find peace. Slowly, these small steps transformed me. I became calmer, stronger, and more centered.
Mindfulness taught me something beautiful: to be kind to myself. It wasn’t just about getting over the accident. It was about finding peace within, no matter what life throws at us. I learned that both physical and mental health are important.
